Jennifer Hillhouse
Photographer
Seeing the world through the eye of a lens is something Jennifer has done for her entire life. Slowing down and concentrating on her subject, light and composition are key to her practice. She thoroughly enjoys the challenges and variety that capturing people, places and objects brings to her professional life.
Jen has been working in the creative industry since 2010 specialising in photography, design & creative strategy. She is a problem solver and has spent most of her career using her varied skills to develop the visual components of business across many varying fields. She enjoys collaborating with people from all over the country and capturing their unique stories in the most effective way possible. Her passion is to spend the time getting to know her clients and to communicate their messages with the world.
Jennifer studied Communication Design with Honours at Queensland College of Art. She has also owned her own business (Vieille Branche) which was a French bistro and arts and entertainment venue from 2013 – 2018. This space became a platform for many creative pursuits including regular artisan market days, weddings, openings, Sunday jazz afternoons and a thriving bistro. Since that time she has been working with ceramics (married with photography), which forms the basis of her own artistic practice.
